May Court Club of London
This women's service club, with its 125 members, had the amazing
energy to raise $50,000 over a two-year period in the mid 1960's,
to cover start up costs for Vanier. In the 1970's, they raised an
additional $50,000 to support the capital funding program for our
present Trafalgar Street location.
For many years, several May Court ladies in their blue smocks
volunteered as teachers' aids in our special education classes on
campus.
We are especially fortunate to have had a May Court Club
representative on the Vanier Board of Directors since its
inception.
The May Court Club members were guardian angels in those trail
blazing years and their continuing commitment and support are
greatly appreciated.
